Why DealHunter pricing is built around results, not impressions

Most "deal apps" charge a flat monthly fee and then quietly throttle the moment you start hunting seriously — slower alerts, fewer saved searches, or pop-ups asking you to upgrade the day after you cancel. DealHunter is structured the opposite way. Every new account gets 24 hours at paid speed, so you can prove the platform works on a real flip before you ever touch a credit card. Every paid tier then scales the two things that actually matter to resellers and deal hunters. First, how many saved searches you can run in parallel. Second, how fast a new listing reaches your phone after it goes live on Mercari, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Craigslist, OfferUp, Depop, or Vinted.

Every plan — including your first 24 hours — gets full search coverage across all eight marketplaces. We don't gate marketplaces behind tiers, because the value of a cross-marketplace deal alert is the cross-marketplace part. Restricting Free users to a single platform would destroy the activation moment (saving your first search and watching matches stream in from every site at once), and that's the moment our entire pricing model is designed around. Upgrading is about cadence and capacity, not unlocking sites.

Three things make this pricing different from competitors who hide the real cap behind vague marketing copy:

• No credit card on the free tier. You can sign up, save a search, and receive a real deal alert without entering payment info — signing up never asks for a card and never starts a trial on its own. If you later choose to start a paid plan's 7-day free trial, it's always an explicit opt-in and we tell you exactly when it converts.
• Faster alerts are the upgrade lever — not a bait-and-switch. Your first 24 hours run at paid speed so you can experience the platform before you decide anything. Keeping your searches running at that speed is what a paid plan buys, along with more saved searches at once. Same marketplace coverage, same listing data, on every plan. You're paying for speed and volume, not access.
• AI Search Assist is on every plan, including Free (3/day) — paid tiers get more. Type "size 11 Jordan 4s under $120 within 25 miles" in plain English and our parser turns it into a multi-marketplace search with the right keyword groups, price caps, category filters, and location radius — the same query construction a careful reseller would build manually, in one sentence. Every plan includes AI searches each day; paid plans raise the daily limit.
